OUR MISSION

Why We Exist

Most content about sex and intimacy falls into two unsatisfying categories: marketing dressed up as research, or research locked behind paywalls and clinical jargon. Neither serves the curious adult who simply wants to understand their own body, their own relationships, and their own pleasure better.

We started AmourFuel to occupy the space in between. Our editors come from clinical psychology, certified sex education, journalism, and public health research. We bring those disciplines to bear on questions that mainstream publications treat too lightly and academic journals treat too inaccessibly.

EDITORIAL PRINCIPLES

Three Principles, Applied to Everything We Publish

Evidence-Based

Every substantive claim is cited. We link to peer-reviewed research, established sex science literature, or the work of recognized experts. When data is mixed, we say so plainly.

Honest Recommendations

We apply the same standards across brands. No investor pressure to favor specific products. We recommend competitors against each other based on genuine fit.

Inclusive

Sex and intimacy aren't one-size-fits-all. Our writing reflects diverse bodies, orientations, identities, and relationship structures.
